A graduate of Old Dominion University with a degree in Counseling, Val is originally from Poquoson, VA. Her professional journey spans many years in substance abuse and mental health, where she gained invaluable experience across a variety of settings. After college, Val relocated to New Smyrna Beach, FL, where she spent 15 years before making the decision, albeit reluctantly, to move back to Virginia to be closer to her extended family.
Outside of work, Val has a passion for the outdoors and is always up for trying new activities, especially those involving water. Whether it’s kayaking, paddleboarding, or simply walking along the shoreline, she finds peace and enjoyment in nature’s beauty. When she’s not exploring the outdoors, you’ll find her at the beach soaking up the sun or spending quality time with her two beautiful daughters, enjoying every moment of family life.
